Bangladesh Army Chief Gen Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan will arrive here tomorrow on a four-day visit to India.
Gen Bhuiyan is scheduled to hold meetings with top military and political leadership of India. Apart from making a courtesy call to Defence Minister A K Antony he is to hold official talks with Army Chief Gen Bikram Singh and chairman chief of staff committee Air Chief Marshal N.A.K Browne. He is also scheduled to some of the Indian military training institutions during his stay here.
Gen Bhuiyan visit hold significance as the military relations between the nations are on higher trajectory level of army to army contact has been progressing well. The of the countries has recently conducted their exercise code named as 'Sampriti' in Agra. This is return visit of Bangladesh Army Chief to India as India's Army Chief
Gen Bikram Singh had visited Bangladesh last year.
